Ondaka, a community newspaper in Portuguese and Umbundu, part 2 of 2

Short documentary in Portuguese about Ondaka, a community newspaper published in Portuguese and Umbundu serving the interests of communities in the Planoalto Central of Angola. Since its inception in 2001, Ondaka published articles reflecting the views and voices of organized groups in several of the country’s provinces. Ondaka contributed to community-based adult literacy programs in an effort to close the nationwide education gap. Development Workshop (DW) was the main sponsor of this news bulletin. Directed by Paulo Kimbolo and produced for Development Workshop by Gregorio de Sousa in 2007.

Vozes da cidade: Brinquedos e Garrafas, de Luanda

Estas são as vozes de crianças em um musseque de Luanda: “Eu gosto de futebol, mas eu não tenho uma bola que eu posso encontrar latas de fazer carros de brinquedo com Não é bom brincar com o lixo, porque isso é feio e poderia nos fazer mal.. . o governo precisa ver a situação e ver o lixo. Eles precisam construir um playground para as crianças podem brincar … então não temos mais nenhuma doenças. Os cidadãos de todas as idades precisam se organizar para fazer ouvir as suas vozes. Workshop de Desenvolvimento e One World Action estão desenvolvendo estratégias com o Governo Provincial de Luanda para gerenciar o problema do lixo em áreas urbanas pobres. Este vídeo é parte da Development Workshop Angola e One World Action de “Cidade Vozes” da série, produzido em 2006. Uma Films Production Urbano.
